My favorite holiday (yes Katie, my FAVORITE). Because of the drought, there were no fireworks at the lake. We just couldn’t stay away, though. The weather was hot, so we spent most of the day in the water.
We always take drinks on our boat rides, so the littles got to be big and bring juice boxes.
This kid wore his sunglasses the whole day. They were (I say “were” because they have since been broken) his favorite and he would proudly tell everyone he met about them.
Before these kiddos are driving the boat on their own, we’ll probably have hundreds of pictures of them “helping” grandpa drive.
We also did lots of fishing. I was so proud of the kiddos. All three of the big boys were holding the fish themselves and helping bait their hooks. Jackson especially is in love animals—including fish (that kid seriously needs a pet) Good thing I had boys because I still haven’t brought myself to do either of those things.
