Love the Summer

We took a day trip to the Grand Island water park with Leo's God-mom and kiddos--the Faltys family.

It was a great day--the kids were awesome. We also took Jill, our neighbor/live-in nanny. She is always an awesome help. I tried to take her everywhere with us this summer. So sad she had to go back to school....

But anyhoo...

Leo thinks he is five. He insists on doing everything else the big kiddos are doing. He loves going under water. I've tried to let him go under water and stay there for a few seconds to put a little fear into him, but he always wins when we play that game of chicken. Leo comes up laughing and smiling every time!

Dominic is a little fish, too. He walked around the water park like he owned the place.
Toddler slide? This stuff is child's play.

Megan was telling me how she wished her kiddos were fearless and crazy in the water. Of course, I was wishing my littles were timid and sat in one place like her's....

Jill is awesome. Here she is being awesome.

And speaking of awesome... Megan was at a water park in 95 degree heat and 28 weeks-ish pregnant. Didn't get any pics of her cute belly.
Yep, Pete. That's how I feel every. single. day.

Thanks for joining us, Faltys family. We love you!

Some Summer Stuff

Some random shots.

We blew up Ivory soap in the microwave and then added food dye to make....a mess. This was a semi-fun craft that was basically a fail, but I got a few fun pictures.

And then a few pictures on a day when the kiddos begged me to get out my camera just because.

He just doesn't run out of silly faces.

Guenther-Deaver-Palooza, the Summer Edition

Katie and Paul brought down their kiddos to play at our Golf Classic to raise money for our school. Friday night, we got a sitter and went for a dinner and auction.

This picture was me documenting everything awesome about the night. While Luke walked away, we messed up the table and pretended like we spilled his drink. Yea. We are super cool. And we thought it was way hilarious. Perhaps we'd all had a few drinks at that point.

It was such a great night. Highlights included winning an All Saints enscribed stone in the raffle and winning (bidding and winning, that is) a party bus to the Axtel Street Days with 9 other couples. Luke and I also got the dance floor rocking.
It was great to spend some adult time with two of our favorite adults.

The next morning, the guys went to golf and we took the kiddos to Kearney to the sprinkler park.

I could NOT get enough of this little's chubby cheeks. I had to squeeze them all weekend long.

Here's a few pictures of our fun at the park.

Luckily, our day was more fun than the guys. They had less than ideal golf conditions (read: blowing dust so strong they couldn't open their snacks for fear of eating sand the rest of the day). Thanks for visiting--next time, we'll come to you and you can get a full night's sleep :)
