Dominic-ism

Today:
Me: Dominic, why are you being such a good boy today?

D: Because I want to. Because I want to be like God.

(No joke, I couldn't find any recent pictures of him without his mask.)

This kid...

Little Jackson has a defiant side that definately stretches the boundaries of my patience.

But his sweet little smile (really...he is going to be a heartbreaker) and the way he asks me to "'nuggle" with him for a few minutes when I put him to bed makes my heart melt. Love him.

Story Time with D

This was a sticker book D got from Santa for Christmas. One day he decided to put the stickers on it and write a story. He dictated and I wrote exactly what he said.

I left out a few of the pages with just pictures. You get the idea.

(How many times can you find the word "awesome"? Also...this book will never get to go to show-and-tell since D throws me under the bus on page 4)

Happy Love Day from Our Family to Yours!

Happy V-day!

I made some V-day shirts for the littles. D loved his, but we haven't seen much of it because it has been under the superman cape all day!

Patrick and Jackson had to be bribed to wear theirs, though. I was pretty much willing to give them whatever they wanted...

My bigger boys, actually being very cooperative during my photo shoot.

And one with little Leo (who did not get a v-day shirt because I'm lazy and he doesn't care). He's looking a little rough in this picture. He has been  under the weather for the last few days.

Happy day to you and your loved ones!

Little artist

Let the little man paint by himself for the first time.

It's non-toxic, right?

Super Dude

I honestly don't even know if he grasps the difference between fantasy and reality right now. Any time we call for Dominic we get "My name's not Dominic, it's Superman"

Dad gives him missions all evening, like "Go save those dirty socks into the hamper" or "That sippy cup needs to be saved into Leo's hands." D love it.

Last night when he took off his mask, I hardly recognized him. He seriously wears this stuff all. day. long.

Snow!

As soon as the kiddos realized it had snowed, they were plastered to the window. "When can we go outside? Can we make a snowman??"

Even Leo got to get in on the action. He loved being outside and cried and cried when I took him in.

They did get to build their snowman with a little help from Dad. I love Leo poking his little head out in the back.

And Packa was a big help scooping the walks. Luckily the neighbor did the bulk of the work with his snow blower. I felt so guilty inside in my warm house while he scooped, but Luke assured me that he was probably very glad to have an excuse to play with his "toy". It would have taken us a very, very long time to scoop the 12 inches from our driveway and sidewalks.
Thanks, Brad!

When I brought Leo in, he just sat at the window and whined.

Look how cool these kiddos are!

Bicycling

Had to try out the new bikes. And I had to be in all the kids' faces with my new camera. I'm addicted to taking pictures now.

I stinkin' love this hat. I can't even stand how cute he is in it.

They took turns pulling each other in the wagon. Until, of course, taking turns turned into screaming and yelling about who got to pull next....

It is nearly impossible to get a picture of this little smiling. He usually just gets frustrated when I try to take pictures of him. I like that I got a real smile of him just being happy on his bike.

Dad went on a long walk with us!

Leo at 15 months

Little Leo isn't so little anymore. This kid has been walking for a few weeks now. He can almost keep up with his brothers! He's be running before we know it. He's acquiring quite the vocabulary!
Bye-bye
Mom
Dad
Cheese (as in, say cheese for the camera)
Hat
Jill (sounds more like Jiiiii)
Noooooo
Roar!
Bubble (as in "Bubble Guppies," his favorite show. Yes, my 15 month old has a favorite TV show)

He loves dancing to music, playing ball, having books read to him, playing at our kitchen, and wearing our Dinosaur costume and running around yelling "Roar!"

He is a fairly mild mannered little boy, but he is starting to develop some more opinions. He'll throw his sippy on the floor with great disgust if isn't isn't what he wants. His favorite foods are bananas, oranges and hotdogs. He loves being outside and riding in the wagon on walks.

He makes us laugh every day! Even after seeing the other three go through many of these same milestones, it always seems new!

I love...

that when given the choice of sitting where ever they want, they all sit within 3 feet of each other to eat lunch.

Swinging in January

We LOVE playing outside in the middle of January. We had days that were 64 degrees!

This kid loves being outside. He brings his coat to me and whines until I take him out.

Don't let that adorable smile fool you.... :)

He's wearing his new hooded sweatshirt that he loves. He insists on wearing it with the hood up all the time--making him look like a thug.

A Big Birthday for my Big Three Year Olds

We were so thankful to have a full house for the Twinnie's B-day. We did a Super-hero theme. All the kids are SO into super heros right now.

Mom and Grandma came down.

And, of course, cousin Jessica, et. al. The littles did lots of cutting and coloring.

Our Neighbor, Jill, came too! Jackson is especially enamored with Jill--probably because she will gladly carry him around all day!

Our friends, Mike and Amy, Aiden (and baby, seen in the background) also joined us.

Jackson got a Spider Man cake.

Lizzy and Chris came for most of the weekend. Lizzy is SUCH a big help. I actually don't know why she ever comes to visit--she always gets roped into vacuuming, doing dishes and cutting a ridiculous number of papers into triangles for pennants.

J and P got LOTS of new presents. The bikes from both sets of grandparents were a big hit. The boys have really enjoyed learning how to ride them.

Patrick got a Superman Cake. It was fun to watch these kiddos while we sang to them. They are getting to be so big. It seems like yesterday that the Dr. told us to head to the hospital--it was time to have two baby boys! Having twins has definately been one of the hardest things we've ever done (to speak for Luke and myself) and, of course, also one of the most rewarding!

We love you so much boys!

To my dear, sweet Three year olds:

Packa, You are getting to be so grown up. You've always been a good talker and you say anything you need to now. You still are great at puzzles, but usually can do without craft time. After getting about 30 seconds into whatever we're doing you'll say "Can you do this for me, mom?" You love superheros and wear your Batman costume all the time. You can already recognize a lot of letters and can spell your own name. Whenever you see the letter "P", you'll say, "Mom, look! P is in me!" You love watching TV...maybe a little too much! You're very comfortable in the water--we go to the Y every now and then. You are already looking forward to preschool when you are four and can't wait to go to Leap and Learn at the Y. You're often following Dominic around and playing whatever silly game he makes up. You have a cute stuff llama that follows you around much of the day. You are generally happy and funny. We love seeing you grow and learn! We love you, Pack-attacka!

Jasson: You have grown up so much in the last 6 months. Finally, you are able to communicate all your needs and this has made you quite a bit happier. You are still quite stubborn, but you are starting to learn to ask for things sweetly. You speech is pretty cute. You're not quite proficient at the "s" sound, making snow sounds like "no" and snack sound like "nak". You are SO in love with chocolate milk. You would consume an entire gallon a day if we let you. You are often content to play alone or just snuggle with mom. You still LOVE helping in the kitchen. I cannot make a meal without you on a stool next to me. Daddy likes to play lion with you and "Jail." If given the choice you'll almost always choose staying home over going out, but you do love going on walks. It is funny to see your little legs go crazy peddling on your trike. You got a bike for your birthday and you pretty proficient at riding, now! We love you so much, Jackson!

You two love playing together. You really don't fight very often and I often think how lucky you three are to have each other. Not too long and little Leo will be running around with you, too, playing superheros or setting every single one of your stuffed animals and puppets in a line to watch a pretend movie. It is such a joy to be able to be with you all day and experience all of your "firsts" with you!
