Achoo!

Jackson, wiping himself off: "Moooomm, Dominic blessed all over me!!"

New Bike!

And by "new," I mean, it was a Christmas gift that just finally got put together. Looks like it will take a bit of getting used to, but Dominic is definately up for the challenge!

Happy Birthday, America!

Fourth of July is one of my very favorite Holidays (one of, ok, Katie?? :)) We had a great weekend this year!

I made these shirts for the boys and darn it, I was going to get a picture of all four of them in the shirts! That was no small task...

Pattern from Make it-Love it

Aunt Jena helped them make those sweet hats.

D took this picture of himself and I thought it turned out pretty awesome.

There's that smile again...

We went to the lake for most of the weekend.

And did a lot of fishing. All three of the older boys caught a fish or two. Patrick really didn't have the patience to get too many though. (Is it ok to say I don't blame him! :))

Here was one of D's catches with G-pa D.

And Jackson was even brave enough to help throw the fish back in the water.

Luke shot off quite a few fireworks for all the littles to watch.

Jessica and Patrick are kind of frenemies. They have a love/hate relationship! It must be both of their strong personalities!

We had a great weekend with family!!

Like a little old married couple...

Jessica: "I'll get it, honey" (referring to the car)
Dominic: "Thanks, Babe"

Swedish Days

Swedish Days was our first taste of Holdrege culture and it was awesome! It began with the kiddie festival, which I didn't get pictures of, but I did get pictures of Jackson's winnings. He was really great at the ring toss and came home with this juice. He did not have any interest in drinking it, only in taking it to nap time with him...

On Saturday, there was a parade. The kids are still working on eating all the candy they got at it.

Leo was his usual, happy and mild mannered self. Just like a good fourth born should be, right?

We sat with Jena and Jake and their kiddos.

Daddy and Patrick (wearing the hat Lizzy gave Dominic--Dominic decorated it all by himself!)

More face painting

Lazy Afternoon at the Lake

Perhaps taking four littles to the lake for the afternoon doesn't sound like your idea of lazy? True...it really wasn't lazy or relaxing, but it was very fun!

We took a lunch and then played at Harlan lake.

Making sand castles was a new adventure.

Cutest smile. Love.

Even Leo really enjoys the water.

Yes, Dominic came too, but apparently I didn't get any pictures of that!

Growing Leo

In the land of 5th percentile Dominic and 25th percentile Patrick and Jackson, this Leo is a giant! He weighed in at 20lbs at his 6 month check (which he had when he was 7 1/2 months, because that's how I roll...). That makes him in the 80th percentile for weight. It is no small task to hold this kiddo because he is not only heavy, but also very, very wiggly.

We put him on solids right around his 6 mo. birthday, which, of course, he loved. He got his first tooth at about 8 months and he can now pull up to his hands and knees. Look out, world, Here comes Baby Leo!

D's Fourth!

D's Big Fourth Birthday was a great excuse to get lots of friends together for an afternoon of fun.

He got a Pirate costume and a Paper Jam guitar. This kiddo may be one of the only four year olds who knows every word to the song "Blitz Creek Bop."
The look on his face rocking out was absolutely priceless!

Grandma Mach with the not-so-little anymore Leo.

And there was a lots of fun for the littles--a rousing game of Duck, Duck, Goose.

And plenty of swinging on our swing set.

Happy Birthday, D-man! We are so happy you were born!!

Children's museum

We went with my mom to the Lincoln Children's museum a few weeks ago.

Face painting was a bit hit.

Patrick would not take any help from Mommy, thank you very much.

D is so big into costumes right now.

And he got a mustache--just like Daddy!
