Hungry Babies

At about five and a half months, we began feeding oatmeal to the boys.

Patrick is a big fan. He'll often eat four helpings in a sitting. He gets pretty anxious, opening his mouth and trying to help with the spoon.

Ever the mellow baby, Jackson has been taking his time with the solids. I'm not sure he's actually swallowed one bite, though we try every night. Patrick usually ends up finishing Jackson's helping after working on his own.

School House Rock, Live!

This Summer, the North Platte Community Playhouse is producing "School House Rock, Live! Jr." 26 Kids are involved in the production and I'm directing it! There has been a bit of a learning curve for me, but I've really enjoyed working with the kids. Here's a link to a short blurb that was in the paper recently about us.
Also, the News did a show on us last week as well:
We will be on the Radio and the news again next week! It's tough work being a local celebrity :) Ha!

Summer Fun with Friends

Just a few pictures of some of the fun we've been having this summer.

Marc and Megan Faltys brought their family to visit the last weekend in July. Tom and Susie graciously allowed us to bring them to the lake for a day. Mary, Pete and Dominic had a good time making chalk drawings on the sidewalk.

Enjoying each other a bit! :)

This was taken before Jackson decided he hated the life jacket. We wanted to take him and Patrick on the boat, but eventually thought better of it.

Pete and Dominic never really meshed (give it a few years), but Mary and Dominic really hit it off!

I'd wanted to take a picture of all the kids together--that never happened...

"Take my picture, please!"
What a little model!

Dad with Jackson at the Cody pool. The twins usually enjoy the water and Dominic has also become quite a little fish!

Dad with Patrick at the lake. As you can see, it is one of our favorite places to be!

On the Fourth of July, Dominic and Dad spent some time lighting fireworks together--well, in this case, snakes. :)

Every Monday night, Luke has church Leauge softball. Dominic gets to sit in the dugout and cheer with dad. He cheers and claps throughout the game. We've really enjoyed the season. Next Monday is the final tournament--Go Catholic Knights! Luke for MVP!

Family Trip to KC

For Father's Day, the Mach family (minus Jake) took a trip to Kansas City. The boys were rockstars! Here's a little overview of our vacation.

Chips and cheese dip are required on all road trips. On the way there, we stopped on the side of the road for some snacks.

After checking into our hotel, we donned our blue and headed to the Royals vs. Cardinals Game.

Dominic stood in awe for the first 2 innings. We were very high up in the stands and he seemed to need a little time to take it all in. It was smokin' hot and soon we had all three boys down to their diapers.

Not a good game for Royals fans. Uncle Lucas isn't any too happy after the Cardinals hit their 4th homerun--a grand slam!

After the game were Friday Night Fireworks. Dominic loved the fireworks and still asks for them occasionally.

The twins conked out about the time it was time to pack up and go back to the hotel.

In the morning, we enjoyed some time in the pool. Cautious Dominic spent most of his time watching, but Jackson enjoyed the water.

Patrick drying off after a quick dip in the pool.

That afternoon, we went to the Plaza for some shopping and food. It was a great trip!! Happy Father's Day Luke and Dad!
